Best Tamales in SA

Tamales are a staple for any and all holiday parties. Everyone knows that if the Tamales aren’t good, I’m not staying. With every restaurant claiming to have the best Tamales in SA it’s so hard to make a decision. Lucky for us indecisive people, the SA current ran a poll to find out where the best Tamales really are. Voted on by Local SA residents.

In First Place for the second year in a row, we have Rio Grande Valley native Delia’s Tamales. I think everyone remembers the insane line to order these amazing tamales when they opened their first location here in San Antonio. More than worth the wait, Delia’s has so many filling options that everyone in your family, especially your grandma will love.  

In Second Place, was Delicious Tamales. Not just a description but the name of the restaurant, they have multiple locations around San Antonio sure to have everything you need.

Finally in Third place, we have Tellez Tamales & Barbacoa. They also have multiple locations around San Antonio. Pick up some Barbacoa for breakfast and Tamales for Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas Day. Don’t count them out because they are 3rd place this year, Tellez Tamales were #1 in SA back in 2018 & again in 2020.
