Comfort Café in San Antonio Raked 2nd in Yelp's Annual Mother's Day Brunch List

The pay-what-you-can charity restaurant was the only San Antonio eatery to make the list.

San Antonio's Comfort Café has earned the prestigious title of the second-best brunch spot in the United States, according to Yelp's Top 100 Brunch Spots in the U.S. for Mother's Day List. 

This restaurant operates on a pay-what-you-can basis and is known for serving classic breakfast and lunch dishes. All earnings from this restaurant go towards the SerenityStar recovery program, and only SerenityStar staff at every stage of their recovery process make up the Comfort Café's workforce. 

This restaurant has previously been included in Yelp's other prominent lists, such as Top Reviewed Brunch Spot in Every State, Top 100 Texas Restaurants in 2022, and Top 100 Places to Eat in Texas in 2021, consistently attracting new customers.

Yelp utilized a specific methodology to establish its rankings for Mother's Day, focusing on businesses in the Breakfast & Brunch category with a high frequency of reviews mentioning "brunch". 

To ensure geographic diversity, only ten businesses per state were included on the list. San Antonio's Comfort Café was the sole representative of the Alamo city to make it to the ranks, while Phoebe's Diner and Austin's Paperboy were positioned at numbers 35 and 46, respectively.
