Big news for North San Antonio foodies and caffeine lovers—three crowd-favorite chains are officially heading to the Far North Central area with the arrival of Stone Oak Mercantile, a new shopping and dining hub currently under development.

Expected to be tenant-ready by late summer 2025, this 57,673-square-foot center at Stone Oak Parkway and Canyon Golf Road will bring the city its first Crust Pizza Co., along with new locations for Chick-fil-A and Black Rock Coffee. And that’s just the beginning.

🍕 Crust Pizza Co.: Chicago Thin-Crust Comes to San Antonio
While Chicago may be best known for its deep-dish pies, locals in the Windy City swear by another style—thin, tavern-style pizza with a crispy, cracker-like crust and “party cut” square slices. Crust Pizza Co., which launched in The Woodlands in 2011, is bringing that exact flavor to San Antonio for the first time.

From classic pepperoni rolls to heartier options like baked mac 'n' cheese with Italian sausage, Crust offers a comfort-driven menu that’s perfect for families, friends, and Friday nights.

Though the exact opening date hasn’t been confirmed, San Antonians can expect to try it by the end of 2025—with another location also on the way in Cibolo.

There’s no such thing as too many Chick-fil-As in San Antonio. While the Atlanta-based chain already has outposts nearby, Stone Oak Mercantile will soon be home to another. Although the company hasn’t officially announced it, development documents confirm the addition—and for local fans, that's reason enough to celebrate.

Construction on the Stone Oak location is scheduled to begin in August 2025, with a targeted completion in November 2025.
