What You Need to Know About the Nov. 4 Ballot in San Antonio, and How to Vote
When is the next election, what’s on the ballot, and where can you cast your vote?
A major election is coming up on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, and San Antonio (Bexar County) voters will have important decisions to make — including local propositions, school district measures, and 17 statewide constitutional amendments.
Below is what every San Antonio resident should know about how, when, and where to vote.

What’s on the Ballot
Local Propositions (San Antonio / Bexar County)

Proposition A: Funding upgrades for the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo, including facility improvements for year-round usage.

Proposition B: Funding for a new downtown Spurs arena, to be built at Hemisfair and supported by hotel and car rental tax revenue.
State Constitutional Amendments

Voters across Texas will decide on 17 proposed amendments that cover property taxes, school funding, judicial retirement age, parental rights, and more.
Where & How to Vote in Bexar County
Early Voting Locations
You can vote early at any Early Vote Center in Bexar County — not just your assigned precinct.
Early voting hours:

Oct 20–24: 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct 25: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Oct 26: 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Oct 27–31: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Election Day Voting (Nov. 4)

Vote at any polling location in Bexar County from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bring an acceptable form of photo ID.
Voting by Mail
You may vote by mail if you:

Are 65 or older
-
Have a disability or illness
-
Are out of the county on Election Day

Are in jail but otherwise eligible
Apply by: October 24, 2025
Ballots must be received by: 7 p.m. on Election Day, or postmarked by then and received by 5 p.m. the next business day.
What to Bring & Voting Tips

Bring valid photo ID (e.g. TX driver’s license, state ID, U.S. passport).

If you forget your ID, you may cast a provisional ballot and show ID later.

Don’t wear Spurs or rodeo gear near polling places. Because Propositions A and B involve those topics, it could be considered electioneering within 100 feet of the site.

Vote early if you can to avoid long lines.
