The Ultimate Nostalgia Party in the heart of SA

It’s no secret that San Antonio’s bar scene has something for everyone. Even with so many options there’s something we all knew was missing. Nostalgia. No one wants to feel judged for kicking kids off of games at Peter Pipers to win all the tickets and get the prizes you always wanted. Well now you can go SA’s newest family friendly but still date night worthy downtown bar, Be Kind Rewind. Here you can wear your Jelly sandals, play arcade games, kid free (after 7) until you fill the void that was left in your soul once you became a grown up with a full time job and bills. 

Co-owner Alex Amaro spoke with the SA Current and says that the idea of Be Kind Rewind was to have a place where locals can hangout regardless of race or gender, “We just want people to come together to have a good time. That’s what it’s all about.”

Most San Antonio locals can remember how massive Fudrucker’s was, and while the size of the space remains the same the interior has been fully renovated with murals of loved artists from Selena to David Bowie on every wall, free to play arcade games, a large dance floor, and even a Miami Vice themed smaller bar in the back.

Our expectations are definitely high and based on their dedication to the theme of this bar, Be kind Rewind is sure to deliver. Their opening day is October 28,2022 and they will be open 7 days a week until 2 AM with the kitchen closing at midnight. Be Kind rewind is open to all ages until 7pm and then it is 21 and up only.
